Residential Solar & Battery Installation Gladstone

We recently completed this solar and battery install on a fully renovated Queenslander right in the heart of Central Gladstone on Harbour Terrace.
It’s a great example of a system that not only performs well, but also fits in with the look of the home.

The battery setup is made up of four 8.3kWh GoodWe ESA modules, giving the customer a 33kWh storage system. This gives them plenty of capacity to store excess solar during the day and use it at night.

Installation Highlights:
This is an older-style Queensland home that’s been fully renovated, including a brand new roof.

The customer wanted the panels installed at the rear of the property to keep the front of the home looking clean. We were more than happy to work with that and keep everything out of sight from the street.

The cable run on this one wasn’t easy. Getting from the array back to the inverter and battery location took a bit of planning, but the boys did a really tidy job. Everything is neat, compliant, and blends in well with the home.

Smart Energy Management:

We also installed a Catch Power system to control the hot water.

This allows excess solar to be diverted into heating water instead of sending it back to the grid for a lower feed-in tariff. It’s a simple setup that makes a noticeable difference to how much of their own solar the customer actually uses.

The Result:

This one came up really well.

With a large battery, smart control of the hot water, and a layout that suits the home, the customer now has a system that:

• Reduces reliance on the grid
• Cuts down power bills
• Makes better use of their solar throughout the day and night
• Still keeps the look of the home intact
