Technical info, Warranties & Finance

Our experienced solar professional will explain all the components of your tailored solar system, any technical concerns or information. We can explore finance options, if need be, and discuss warranties and much more.

Paperwork

Once you have decided to go solar, you will accept our quote online and wait for our friendly admin staff to send you a welcome email.  At this stage we will request a photo of your switchboard and a copy of your power bill.

Then we have some paperwork to do!  But don’t worry we take care of it all for you, you don’t have to do a thing.  It’s up to us to apply to Ergon to get the ball rolling.

System Installation

Our admin staff will call and arrange your system installation date.  Usually, the install will be complete in one day.  After the install there is yet more paperwork to do – but don’t worry, we will handle all the paperwork, permits and approvals required.  You will receive an email asking you to sign that we have completed the install so that you can access the federal government STC rebates!  Apart, from that you don’t have to worry about a thing.  On the day of installation, our solar panel installers will take care of your property and ensure we clean up any mess before we leave.

Support & Maintenance

REEF SOLAR & ELECTRICAL is not your average solar company.  You will receive support for the lifetime of your system from us.  Each year we will send out an email reminding you about solar panel cleaning services and if you ever have any concerns, we are a phone call away.  REEF SOLAR & ELECTRICAL is committed to ensuring you get the most out of your new solar system.

From the outset Troy was professional. Extremely knowledgeable and left me with no doubts about the system. He was able to explain and and all questions that I had. The price he quotes was excellent (and it was compare with another local installer for the identical system).Despite the issue that the manufacturer had with the inverter and recall that came with it. Reef Solar were upfront and transparent about the potential delays. The quotes was always going to be honoured regardless. As soon as a replacement inverter became available he let me know and were onsite the next day to install the system. Only excess wind held up installing some of the panels. Clearly showing that they put the safety of their workers first.The standard of workmanship is literally some of the best I have seen. The made every every to neatly install the cabling and used full capped ducting for the main battery and inverter cabling. Not just standard conduit. Not a piece of flexible conduit was used. They planned so they could hide the gateway unit behind a fence but side drilled through brick work to the meter box on the other so so no cabling is visible. Everything was well labelled. On the roof they even went to the trouble of zinc gal spraying the ends of all the metal rails after they were cut to prevent rust (we are right next to salt water too).Brandon the lead installer was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing with the system. Managed his team well. He explained the system well during commissioning handover.The performance of the entire system in it's first day was far better than I expected. Within 3 hours of the system coming live we had fully charged the battery and were already exporting.They enabled the feature I needed to integrate to my house automation. The SigenStore system integrates extremely well with platform I use giving me the ability to perform actions on the house to optimise our battery usage.To sum up, I can see why they won 2025 Queensland installer of the year for Solarquotes.com.au. I would recommend Reef solar and Electrical to anyone without hesitation.
