Commercial Solar Installation Gladstone

REEF Solar & Electrical recently completed a large commercial solar installation in Gladstone, Queensland, for a fantastic local business – Heavy Maintenance Pty Ltd

The owners had recently purchased a block and constructed an impressive industrial shed, with long-term plans to build their home on the same site and operate their business from there. It’s a smart, forward-thinking setup that we were proud to be a part of.

We installed a 33 kW solar system, using 75 high-performance Jinko solar panels paired with a Sungrow SH25T 25 kW three-phase hybrid inverter. While the customer chose not to install batteries just yet, they opted for the hybrid inverter to allow for an easy battery integration in the future — a great move, especially with the federal government battery rebate now available. This approach ensures they’re well-positioned to expand their system when the time is right, without needing to change out major components.

This install was a fun one for the team. Having access to a scissor lift on-site (thanks to the customer’s heavy machinery business) made a huge difference — especially when working on the roof of such a large shed. It’s always a bonus when clients are equipped with the right gear to support a smooth install.

As you’ll see in the photos, the site has a stunning outlook — a perfect setting for a hardworking, growing local business. With a system of this size, the team at Heavy Maintenance will have plenty of clean, reliable power to run their operations well into the future.
