Established February 2011 – over a decade of service to the Gladstone Region.
REEF SOLAR & ELECTRICAL started out as Daniel Shea Electrical and Solar (DSES). Daniel founded DSES in February 2011, and the business has been delivering exceptional service to Gladstone solar customers in the region for 13 years.
DSES has built its reputation on a no-nonsense approach to business, no job is too big or too small. Known for quality workmanship, by quality tradespersons, at a fair and competitive price. DSES has always been committed to reliability and customer service, and you can be sure they will always turn up on time
February 2024 marked not only the 13th anniversary for DSES, but also the beginning of a new adventure for Troy and Lauren Coburn – taking on this amazing established business, rebranded to REEF SOLAR & ELECTRICAL.

Recognising the potential to build on what Daniel had established at DSES, we seized the opportunity to take it to the next level. With Troy’s extensive experience in the solar industry, we’re exciting to realise our vision of providing a purpose-built solar showroom and retail-based service, developing an extensive website, and offering a complete interactive experience of this energy solution – something Gladstone residents have not previously had access to.
And falling in love with the area, the beaches, the weather, and the lifestyle, was an added bonus! Our commitment to bringing this improved solar experience to Gladstone was such that we have relocated, with our three young daughters in tow, to embark on this thrilling venture across the country. Our commitment extends beyond the professional realm. We look forward to not only providing exceptional solar services but also becoming an integral part of the Gladstone community, fostering relationships that go beyond business.

Absolutely fantastic company to deal with. I had a 6.6kWh Solar system installed. They were very knowledgeable, flexible, professional, and prompt. Sold the system by promoting their skills and not running down the opposition. System was installed 2 weeks after ordering and the workmanship was outstanding.
